Allergic dermatitis should be top of mind not only during Itchy Pet Awareness Month in August but throughout the entire year.
Scratch, Lick, Chew? Here’s What to Do {br}When an owner calls about an itchy pet, how quick are you to offer at-home treatment suggestions rather than an appointment time? It’s critical we communicate to clients the importance of scheduling an appointment every time their dog shows signs of allergic pruritus. Home treatments may only provide temporary relief, and antihistamines are often not effective for allergic pruritus in dogs.{sup}1,2{/sup}
Help dogs with allergic dermatitis get true relief. Encourage visits and remember: If it’s skin, it has to come in!
